Block Printing Workshop

April 23 · 5 to 7pm · at Watermans Seafood Co. · Doors open at 4:30 to get checked in, order food, choose & purchase your apparel or tote if desired.

This is an interactive workshop using stamps that have been hand carved to create a design of your choice. You're welcome to bring clothing, canvas, paperback journal, flags, banners, pennants, notecards, bags, jean jackets, etc. -- the choice is entirely yours! This is not a workshop where we'll be creating stamps from scratch. We will discuss the process and quickly dive in to the design aspect, using screen printing ink on the rubber stamps to embellish your garments. 

Canvas totes and some blank apparel will be available for purchase that evening to be used as your canvas (please email hello@loveyourmamaoc.com to ask which apparel if you're interested/planning out your vibe and it's not yet listed here). 

So, what's included: 

• a quick explanation of how the stamps are made
• an array of made rubber stamps to choose from for use (not to take home) 
• screen printing ink in a variety of colors 
• all other supplies needed to adorn your canvas of choice 
• instruction, guidance and hands-on help 
• IF NEEDED: use of heat gun and iron (for Lizzie to use only, but this will expedite the drying and curing process) 

What you'll need to bring:

• anything, like those listed above, that you want to add stamp designs to
• we'll be working with screen printing ink, so it's recommended to not wear your finest clothing and/or to bring an apron to wear

The event is hosted in the upstairs event room of Watermans Seafood Company, full service dinner, snacks & drinks will be available, so come hungry! You do NOT need to come early to eat, you can order while you play with your creation.
